We are proud of the awards we have received, which recognise the hard work of staff, children, governors and parents.
We were inspected in February 2023 and have retained our Outstanding status. What made it even more challenging was that it was a ‘graded’ inspection, as our last full inspection was pre-2015. Outstanding schools that were last inspected after September 2015 only have lighter touch ‘ungraded’ inspections, with fewer inspectors involved with scrutinising the school’s performance and even if they are no longer providing an outstanding education, their Outstanding status is retained. We were therefore inspected against an extremely high bar and to be rated Outstanding overall, with a ‘graded’ inspection, you have to be considered outstanding in each of the criteria: Quality of Education; Behaviour and Attitudes; Personal Development; Leadership and Management; and Early Years provision.

We are proud to have been chosen as one of the government’s English Hubs. We are one of just 34 schools nationwide, selected for our expertise in teaching reading and supporting schools in our surrounding area. Our experienced teachers promote a love of reading and help schools provide excellent teaching in phonics and early language.
