Teaching Assistant Vacancy, with an MDSA role
Ramsbury Primary School, near Marlborough, is looking for someone who has a passion for nurturing young minds and supporting children.

This position also includes supporting pupils’ self-esteem, inclusion and behavioural development, and to support the class teacher in the delivery of the National Curriculum. The role also includes a lunchtime Midday Supervisory Assistant (MDSA), supporting and supervising children either in the lunch hall or other areas in the school, whilst they are eating lunch or taking part in lunchtime activities.
The roles are available on a fixed-term contract for 1 year initially, working full-time 08:30 - 15:30, term time only. We will also accept applications for part-time, working 3 days per week, from strong candidates. We also have an additional vacancy as an After School Club Assistant, working until 17:00, should this be of interest.
Required Knowledge and Personal attributes
Required Knowledge and Experience:
have GCSEs at Grade B/Grade 5 or above in English and Maths
have an ability to build good working relationships with both pupils and adults
hold high expectations of themselves and of the children
engage in outdoor learning with continuous provision, that encourages creativity and exploration
Required Personal Qualities:
Friendly and approachable
Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently
Salary
TA - Wiltshire Council Grade E £25,183-£25,992 FTE, £13.05-£13.47/hour (prior to the 2025/26 Pay Award)
MDSA - Wiltshire Council Grade B £23,656 FTE, £12.26/hour (prior to the 2025/26 Pay Award)
