Ramsbury Primary School

Deputy Hub Lead

Ramsbury English Hub is looking for a Deputy Hub Lead to join our team. We are seeking a passionate literacy leader who is looking for a rewarding and unique opportunity, and has a proven track record for early language and literacy teaching. The Deputy Hub Lead will work alongside our Hub Lead, Literacy Specialists and administration team, to achieve the very best outcomes for children in Wiltshire, Swindon, Cotswolds and Dorset. We are looking for someone who is ready for a challenge and excited about the opportunities this role will bring.

Ramsbury is one of just 34 schools nationwide recognised by the Department for Education for their excellence in teaching and learning practice in early reading. To date, Ramsbury English Hub has worked with over 700 schools in our region to raise literacy standards and improve the educational outcomes for the most disadvantaged children.

This academic year the Department for Education (DfE) expanded the support currently offered by the English Hubs programme to include a secondary pilot. Partner secondary schools receive support through collaboration with English Hubs, supported by associate secondary schools and an expert advisory group consisting of secondary practitioners, school leaders, and researchers with expertise in reading.

From September, we will be expanding further and will support schools teaching literacy in Early Years, KS1, KS2 and KS3. Ramsbury English Hub provides intensive support for identified Partner Schools, non-intensive support for schools across the Hub region, and allocates resource funding for eligible schools for appropriate training and resources.

The Deputy Hub Lead will play a key leadership role in expanding the work of Ramsbury English Hub. As Deputy Hub Lead, you will oversee the development, delivery and quality of our offer, working closely with our Hub team. If you would like to know more, please contact us.
