The children are encouraged to eat healthily at both break time and lunch time.
A hot meal is available to order at lunch time, aimed at providing a healthy well-balanced lunch. Take up of the service is very high and feedback from the children is positive.
Rewards are given to children who demonstrate that the lunch box they bring to school is made up of healthy food.
Lunch time is from 12 noon until 1pmhour and is eaten in the Hall, usually with the younger children eating first. When the children are not eating, they are out in the playground or, if it is dry, on the school field. We provide play equipment and climbing equipment on the field. The children are supervised at all times by our Midday Supervisory Assistants (MDSAs).
